[How To] Avoid Becoming A Marketing Dinosaur

A picture is worth a thousand words.  So what do you have when you combine words and a picture?  Some might say you have 1000 words plus how many words you wrote around the picture and others might say you have one of the most powerful marketing tools known to man; an infographic.  TheLadders, an online job search agency, took the time to put together an infographic of infographics!!!

What's really cool about this infographic is that you get great insight about how marketing has evolved throughout the years and how professionals' degree helps them. However, not only do some of them talk about how their degrees have affected them in their field but also they give great tips and tricks about keeping up with the ever-changing marketing world.

My favorite quote from the whole thing is:

"Do your Job and take it a step forward. If you have an idea, share it. Otherwise someone else will come upwith that idea and you won't progress. Don't be afraid to share your ideas, and dont obsesse over the "9 to 5"concept."- Laura Ellner

I also think she really hit the nail on the head when she said:

"The successful marketers that are really making waves in the industry are the ones that learned how to study or continue to do so throughout their career. They study, hypothesize, and test aspects of the field everyday." - Michelle Stinson Ross

Here're some links to the top websites that they feature so you can hop over and check those out:

And the additional reading - I would definitely agree with all of these:

Growing up I saw the hard work my family put in day in and day out to give my siblings and I a better life style than they had growing up. They taught me that If there was anything I ever wanted in life I would have to work for it to earn it. I've taken their knowledge and hard work ethic to help me grow as a web developer.

I believe that if you want to be successful, you have to take the time and learn from people that have gone through the same road you have so you can learn from their mistakes and grow efficiently.

My mission is to help anyone who wants to succeed in life by helping them get there in what ever way I can.
